
Protein-blueberry smoothie.
For an aging body, protein is essential. Our muscle mass is degrading, and is known as sarcopenia. If we want to remain mobile till old age, then we need to work on building our muscle consistently. And feed them through protein. Look for a good whey or vegan protein powder to add to your smoothies for breakfast or post workout meal.
1 scoop protein powder of choice. (Vanilla)
A handful of frozen or fresh blueberries
1 banana
A tbsp of chia seeds
6 tbsps of yogurt or a cup of coconut milk
A cup of chilled water
Ice cubes
Blend on high speed.
Enjoy as an entire meal.
