Nadia Talat is nearing her 50’s. She is a single mother of 2 teens, and caregiver to her parents. She knows very well how physical fitness and a high protein diet can help her achieve a fit body. Weight training is her go to approach to build muscle and stay mobile and strong as she ages.
She knows she has many people to take care of so she must take care of her self first. Eating clean, and weight training and walking early morning is her daily gift to herself!
7 Burning Questions is a series of questions for real-life women who have many roles to play and are faced with obstacles daily. They are interested in keeping their health practices a priority. Hopefully these fitness stories will inspire you to make time for your health goals and become mindful of the ones that don’t serve you anymore.
7 Burning Fitness Questions:
1. What do you eat for breakfast? Why ? And at what time?
I start my day with a cup of americano or tea . After an hour or two I have started to have a protein smoothie bowl with banana yogurt strawberries and a scoop of whey protein.
2. What do you eat for your last meal? Why? And at what time?
I like to have dinner rather late . Preferably protein packed with some rice or small roti . I don’t like sleeping on an empty stomach. Basically an hour or so before sleeping.
3. How do you fit in exercise into your daily schedule?
Best time is two hours after my breakfast. Anytime before 6 pm.
4. What is your biggest fear for your health ?
Obesity
5. List 3 of your health goals, starting with the most important.
1. Better endurance and stamina.
2. Hitting my strength training numbers / goals.
3. Losing extra body fat . Look better aesthetically.
6. What is your worst habit that you wish you could get rid of?
Procrastination. Which leads to overeating.
7. What’s your favourite fitness bio-hack?
Weight training and long medium paced cardio . Works for my body . Protein Protein Protein !!
